Up & Coming: Taste with the Sommelier
Joining The Setai for South Beach Wine & Food Festival this year? Then be sure to reserve one of our private “Taste with the Sommelier” evenings in The Wine Cellar at The Setai. Occurring each night from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on the nights of February 23, 24 and 25, we invite you for a personal meet and greet with our Head Sommelier, Dwayne Savoie and Michelin Star-awarded Executive Chef David Werly.
Kick off the week with a Bubbles Tasting, presented along with Philippe Marshall, Brand Ambassador for Taittinger Champagne. Be your own judge as we compare Taittinger Champagne to its sparkling counterpart in Napa Valley, Domaine Carneros. We will taste two wines from each house blind alongside some European-inspired bites by Chef Werly.
On Friday, February 24, we will take a special look at Pinot Noir from Oregon versus Burgundy. For many years, Oregon Pinot Noir has been compared to the great wines of Burgundy. This evening will present the opportunity to learn and develop your nose for wine as we contemplate the intricacies of the complex Pinot Noir grape in a side by side comparison of Oregon’s most famous wineries and Burgundy’s five-star producers.
Take a tour of Dessert Wines on Saturday, February 25 from the Top Regions of the World. If you have yet to finish a meal with a glass of Sauternes, now is your chance to have this one of kind experience. This evening we offer guest an opportunity to taste the worlds best up and coming dessert wines. In addition to tasting, there will be a sampling some of the world’s most delicious cheese.

Up & Coming: Center Stage at WMC & Ultra Music
Each year Miami Beach continues to advance as a major fashion and music destination for discerning travelers from around the globe. In March both come together beautifully to entice enthusiasts to gather amongst Miami’s glistening city, stars and sun.
The month kicks off with Winter Music Conference and Funkshion Fashion Week from March 14through 17. And for the first year ever, WMC organizers are slated to build a custom-designed, air-conditioned ‘Beachplex’ venue on Collins Avenue just north of The Setai.
Guests and residents alike may revel in being center stage at The Setai, along with the exclusivity of being invited complimentary to an array of intimate music events featuring some of the most renowned DJs of the world.
